It's built on Nikolai and Montantress dusts with Montana Midnight, held together with a touch of Silver Road and Yellowstone, packed with dry fruit chunks and then dusted in more Montana Midnight for a darker finish. It can dry out to a smoky grey, but give it a bit of moisture and it goes as black as night.

The Crunch Profile

Texture: Satisfying crunch from the chunks, breaking down to a smooth, muddy finish

Flavour: Rich, earthy, muddy and light smoky roasted notes

Crunch factor: 3 – Medium

Colour: Smoky grey when dry, deep black when damp

Product Details

Weight: Up to 60g (1 heart)

Shape: Heart-shaped treat

Country & region: 🇺🇸 United States, North America, Montana

Ingredients: Nikolai dust, Montantress dust, Montana Midnight dust, Silver Road and Yellowstone (binder), dry fruit chunks, Montana Midnight dusting

Vendor / source: Taste Montana (forager: Samantha Hokulani)

Traditional clay origins: Handcrafted from hand-foraged Montana clays by Samantha Hokulani, this blend leans on the darkest clays in the Taste Montana range, reflecting the mineral-rich landscapes of the American West and the long appreciation for earthy textures within sensory and geophagia communities.

Who is it for?

Best for: Fans of Montana Midnight and dark, smoky clays who want a softer, treat-style bite

Crunch level: 3 – Medium

Sensory style: Smoky, earthy, muddy

ASMR style: Not specified in source data

Customer Quotes

Pending

Test Status

Test status: Community-Tested

Good to Know

Natural variation in colour, shape and texture between batches

Handmade pieces can crack or crumble in the post, which is normal

Recommended storage: keep dry and sealed

Colour shifts with moisture, so a grey heart is simply dry rather than from a different batch

Earthy Crunch UK is the exclusive re-seller of Taste Montana in Europe.
