Bio:
Heather Meeks is the maker behind Sedona Cliffside Treats, creating earthy, mood-driven treats inspired by the iconic Sedona landscape. With a lifelong love of dirt and a hands-on approach to sourcing, Heather crafts treats rooted in nostalgia, curiosity, and bold flavour—made simply because they’re what she loves to eat herself.
What inspired you to start creating your clays or edible treats?
I have eaten dirt since I was a kid in the garden in Washington state, and when I found the online community people were asking for Sedona. It took over a year to find the perfect stuff!
What products do you specialise in, and what do you think sets you apart?
Specialised in treats made with Sedona.

Who or what inspires your creativity in the world of clays and textures?
I just made things I would enjoy and hoped others did too!
Can you tell us about the first time you discovered eating clay, chalk, or felt a craving for it?
First craved dirt/clay as a child. I loved pulling carrots out of the garden and eating them without washing them so I could taste the dirt.
Which of your products is your personal favourite, and why?
Probably the Black Candy and Sedona mini treats.
If you could describe your ideal crunch in three words, what would they be?
Earthy, ⛽️, crumbly.
What is your favourite texture to work with—and eat!
My favourite texture to work with is powders because you can make lots of stuff with it!
Which flavours or earthy notes do you always find yourself craving?
Smokey, earthy, or ⛽️… it varies on my mood.
Can you share a funny or memorable moment from making your products?
Walking WAY off trail with my dad—who always helps me find the best places to dig—and him finding a spot and saying, “You gonna take a little try of this spot to see if it tastes good?” 🤣
If you could invent a new clay flavour or texture, what would it be?
I would love a treat that tastes like the smell of Comet cleaner, but it probably would make me sick.
