Details

Megan Soft Clay is a medium-crunchy, naturally earthy clay that balances firm bite with a gentler texture, making it approachable yet satisfying for experienced clay eaters. Harvested from mineral-rich Indian soil, cleaned, sun-dried, and lightly roasted, it delivers a crisp, crumbly texture that breaks into soft shards without turning creamy, sticky, or gritty. Some batches contain occasional harder granules, adding subtle variety to the eating experience.

Its flavour is bold and cement-forward, with strong wet concrete notes, basementy undertones, and faint aromas reminiscent of AC ducts when wet. Megan Soft Clay evokes the grounding scent of petrichor — fresh, earthy, and mineral-rich — while maintaining a smooth, clean mouthfeel. A favourite for those who enjoy a medium, crumbly clay with pronounced earthy depth and a natural, satisfying bite.

Storage Tips

To keep your clays and treats fresh, crunchy, and full of flavour, always store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from moisture, humidity, and strong odours. Exposure to air or dampness can alter both texture and taste.

We highly recommend using our stash boxes, available on the website — designed specifically to protect and organise your clay collection with ease.

Handling Guidelines

  • clean, dry hands

Fragility Disclaimer

All clay treats and terracotta pot products are handmade and naturally fragile, making them susceptible to breakage during delivery.

While we take great care in packing each item securely, minor cracks, chips, or crumbled pieces may occur. This is a natural part of working with handcrafted clays and does not affect taste or enjoyment.
