Let's talk about the photos, because a few of you have asked, and you deserve a straight answer rather than a dodge.
Early on, some of the decorative and blog imagery on this site was AI-assisted. Never product listings, but banners, blog graphics, that sort of thing, marked "for reference only" when I used them. At the time it felt like a reasonable shortcut. I'm running this on evenings and weekends around a full-time job, I don't have a studio, and getting consistent, decent-looking graphics out the door without spending every spare hour on it was genuinely hard.
But it's not something I'm comfortable with any more, and it doesn't sit right against everything else I'm trying to build here, which is a brand people can trust down to the smallest detail. So I've moved away from it. Product photos have always been real, always will be, and the illustrative stuff is now either my own photography or genuine customer and community photos, credited properly.
It's slower this way. Proper product photography takes actual time, and I'm not going to pretend that fits neatly around a day job. But the community has genuinely carried a lot of this, your unboxing photos, your reviews, your videos, they fill in the gaps far better than a generated graphic ever could, and they're real, which matters more to me than looking polished.
If you ever see something on the site and wonder whether it's genuinely a photo of a real batch, ask me. I'll tell you straight. That's the whole point of doing this properly.
