Mervina Ann Nelson is a passionate clay enthusiast and edible treat creator based in Flagstaff, Arizona. Since 2020, she’s been exploring her cravings and crafting unique clays and treats, offering flavours and textures inspired by her local surroundings and her adventurous palate.

What inspired you to start creating your clays or edible treats?
The hobby started when I started to explore my cravings I seen online pica and than I looked for sellers and found a whole new world. I tried a number of sellers and realized I can find these types in the area I live.

What products do you specialise in, and what do you think sets you apart?
My Rez deep the first time I got to go out in my own surroundings it was the crunch break down and melt in ur mouth and the deep soil earthy muddy taste that got me thinking the people need to try this.

Who or what inspires your creativity in the world of clays and textures?
I once tried a treat made by India seller the yummy c sold was a rolled type of mix nakamuts and crunchy.

Can you tell us about the first time you discovered eating clay, chalk, or felt a craving for it?
2020 i had Covid after I had an insane craving of dirt the smell after it rained got me Looking.

Which of your products is your personal favourite, and why?
I love the aylo and the nakamuts aww I dont know why the chips break down and ny own digs I find so satisfying I know where I dig and my areas are clean and the endless amount I can bag for self and others who want to try.

If you could describe your ideal crunch in three words, what would they be?
Crunchy easy clean and deep rain notes

What is your favourite texture to work with—and eat!
Jeddito gets pasty when u mix water add some crumbles of Mike skeins white mountain and top it off with Sedona man thats a treat.

Which flavours or earthy notes do you always find yourself craving?
Muddy dusty a spoonful and it crunches down wow.

Can you share a funny or memorable moment from making your products?
A funny one memory is just how heavy the bags 🎒 are when I take it to the post office and I always get asked whats in it haha 😄.

If you could invent a new clay flavour or texture, what would it be?
Dryfruit as my base and mixed like a giant cake batter with everything I dig:

• Rez deep

• Jeddito

• White clay

• Purple night drive clay dirt crumbles

• Scooped up with the new black clay I found
  Just make a cake with it.
