What is Pica Pride, actually?

If you've landed here, you probably already know the craving I mean, earthy, chalky, crunchy, sometimes smoky. Slate, clay, soil, chalk, if you know, you know.

Pica is the term for craving non-food substances, clay, chalk, soil, sometimes ice or paper. It's a real and pretty common experience, often tied to sensory needs or mineral deficiencies, sometimes just to comfort. Geophagy, the specific habit of eating earth, sits inside that. Both are more talked about than they used to be, but most people who do it still keep it fairly quiet, and I get why.

That's the gap Pica Pride is trying to close a bit. Not making a huge statement, just turning something people usually hide into something you can wear without having to explain it, if you don't want to.

It's for anyone who crunches in secret and would quite like to feel a bit less alone in it. For the ASMR creators and CrunchTok regulars making content for this community. For collectors who want to rep the hobby properly. And honestly, for anyone who's ever felt weird for liking what they like.

The range is small on purpose, hoodies, t-shirts with a couple of daft lines on them, mugs, stash bag bits, stickers. Printed through eco-conscious partners, because being crunchy shouldn't cost the earth we're all so fond of eating.

I only told a handful of people about this for a long time, my husband, my siblings, my parents (mum had questions, dad mostly didn't). Outside that circle, silence, and one very memorable conversation about plaster that I've never brought up again. What's changed is finding other people who don't flinch. That's really what this is about, making those people easier to find.

You're not weird. You're not broken. You just like what you like, and you're allowed to be a bit proud of it.
